DeWitt, Dylan (MFA)

His experiential works aim to invoke heightened perceptual states in viewers, posing questions about perception and attention, how we decide which parts of the world are significant, and what counts as an image.
His creative research interests include optical science, color perception and pattern recognition, as well as philosophies of mind and meaning.
Dylan holds an MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Yale University, and a BFA in Illustration from Rhode Island School of Design. His work has appeared in New American Paintings, Floorr Magazine and Art Maze Mag. He has been a resident at MASS MoCA, the Jentel Foundation, Vermont Studio Center, Hambidge Center and Yale/Norfolk.
