Nusair, Khaldoon (Ph.D.)

Dr. Khaldoon Nusair is the Director of the School of Resort and Hospitality Management at the Lutgert College of Business, Florida Gulf Coast University. Prior to this role, he served as Chair and Professor in Hospitality and Tourism Management at the University of South Alabama (2023–2025). He also held several leadership positions at Sultan Qaboos University in Oman, including Asst. Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research (2021–2022) and Head of the Marketing Department (2015–2021) in the College of Economics and Political Science. From 2007 to 2014, Dr. Nusair was a faculty member at the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management.

Dr. Nusair has taught a wide range of marketing courses across undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs. He is the author of one book and more than 90 refereed publications in leading academic journals and international conference proceedings. His research has appeared in high-impact journals such as Tourism Management, Tourism Economics, Current Issues in Tourism, International Journal of Consumer Studies, Information & Management, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Information Systems Frontiers, Journal of Travel & Tourism Marketing, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, International Journal of Information Management, and International Journal of Tourism Research.

A recipient of nine national and international awards for research excellence, Dr. Nusair is ranked among the top 2% of scholars worldwide in the field of marketing. He serves on the editorial boards of several prestigious journals, including the International Journal of Information Management, the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Technology, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Insights, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, International Journal of Tourism Research, and International Journal of Hospitality & Tourism Administration. In addition, he serves as the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Al Edari, a journal affiliated with the Royal Academy of Management. His professional background includes consulting experience with multinational companies in the United States and the Middle East, with a focus on strategic marketing and applied research. He is also a frequent speaker at international conferences and industry forums.
