Kayla Shirley joined Florida Gulf Coast University鈥檚 Office of Adaptive Services in July of 2025 as an Administrative Specialist. In her role, she supports the daily operations of the office, serving as a key point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Kayla helps connect students with resources and accommodations while ensuring the office runs smoothly and efficiently. Prior to joining FGCU, Kayla served in the United States Air Force for five years, gaining extensive experience in administrative support, organization, and communication. She holds an Associate of Science degree from the Community College of the Air Force, which strengthened her professional foundation in administrative and operational practices. Outside of work, Kayla enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and exploring new experiences. She is proud to be part of the Adaptive Services team and looks forward to supporting FGCU students in their academic journey.
