Dr. Zheng Li is an assistant professor in the Department of Ecology and Environmental Studies at the Florida Gulf Coast University. Before joining FGCU, she was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Land, Air, and Water Resources at the University of California, Davis. Her research is focused on forage production and its variability across California, employing GIS technologies alongside daily fused remote sensing imagery. Dr. Li is also working on the development of innovative deep learning algorithms aimed at predicting rangeland biomass in the context of a changing climate. Dr. Li earned her Ph.D. in Ecology from Texas A&M University, where her work centered on the patterns and impacts of wildfires in the United States.
